It is a complex of two traditional watermills in the area of Marmaroti, built in a position by taking advantage of the slope (17th century).

The two watermills once belonged to Jesuit monks. Jesuits arrived in Naxos in the early 17th century AD, as agents of French diplomacy and politics in the East. The Jesuits sublet the watermills to the local millers. The water coming out of the basement of the first watermill is immediately directed to the fallen tower of the second. Today the roofs of the two watermills have collapsed.
